| Location Serendip River Retreat (holiday accommodation) is a 20-30 minute drive from the Dorrigo National Park and the Mid-North Coast beaches of NSW, Australia, and 30 minute drive from Coffs Harbour Airport. Serendip is 13km from Bellingen, via Gleniffer (the Promised Land) and Gordonville Rd (see Google map) to the Gordonville Crossing. The Bellinger River can be forded by 4wd vehicles most of the time (please check with locals) to connect with the Waterfall way, at Gordonville Crossing, to Bellingen (8km) or Dorrigo and the Dorrigo National Park. Built with mostly local materials (stone and timber), and
decorated with Asian influences, this holiday house has views
all around. The dining and verandah area look out on the
Bellinger River: the view from the kitchen is of McGraths
Hump. Built on 2.5 hectares of land, sub-tropical gardens
surround the main holiday house.
The main house has two bedrooms, a queen & single, plus a
loft with 2 singles. The studio houses a further queen bed,
trundle and sofa bed. A microwave, built-in barbecue,
dishwasher, TV, video and sound system and telephone
(incoming and local outgoing calls) are supplied.
Guests can swim or canoe in the Bellinger River, or go hiking,
bird watching, bush-walking, and cycling nearby. Or just stroll
along the beautiful country lanes. Bellingen is a leisurely 2-3
hour canoe excursion through some of the most scenic
country in the Bellinger valley.
Bellingen is renowned for its jazz festival, arts, crafts and
restaurants. The Bellinger valley is one of the most
picturesque areas of the mid-north coast of NSW. Mountain
ranges, pristine rivers, and uncrowded beaches are all easily
